As you paddleboard through the Caledonian Canal, you’ll be surrounded by majestic mountains and breathtaking beauty on all sides. You’ll need to plan for camping and food, but don’t worry – we’ve got your back with a support vehicle just in case

What’s Included?
For your Caledonian paddleboarding adventure, tents, dry bags, buoyancy aides, wetsuits, paddleboard, paddle, as well as a large and medium dry bag will be provided.
Please note that this tour includes wild camping, where facilities are very limited, and there may not be any toilets available. However, wild camps with toilets will be used when possible.
Meals will also be provided to keep you fueled throughout your journey. For breakfast, enjoy porridge, bacon or sausage sandwiches, and your choice of tea, coffee, or juice. For lunch, a variety of sandwiches, wraps, or soup with fillings and flavors will be available, as well as fruit and snacks. In the evening, a hearty meal such as BBQ, pasta dishes, risotto, or stirfry will be served. Opportunities to eat out at local restaurants along the journey will also be available, subject to availability.
Day 1
Make your own way to Fort William, Scotland. Our expedition team will warmly welcome you at 4pm at ‘Chase the Wild Goose Hostel‘, Fort William. You will have time to settle in to your room before a meal out at 7pm.
Day 2
Your journey starts at 9am at the incredible Neptune’s Staircase, a great photo opportunity, and after a short walk with your kit led by your guide, you’ll begin your epic paddleboarding journey following the Great Glen Way and the River Lochy to Gairlochy, enjoying a packed lunch on the water and dinner provided by your guides, with accommodation at either the Canal Campsite or B&B/Self-Catered Accommodation (depending on availability).
Day 3
Start your day at 8am with a Scottish breakfast provided by your guides before embarking on your paddleboarding journey on Loch Lochy, the third deepest loch in Scotland, with a packed lunch on the loch edge and breathtaking views of Ben Nevis; then paddle to Laggan Locks, continue to Loch Oich for your first wild camp spot, and go on an evening hike to the unique restaurant, The Eagle Barge Inn on the Water, before resting up for the longest day ahead.
Day 4
Start your day early with breakfast provided by your guides before paddling along the canal and River Oich to Fort Augustus for a hot drink and special lunch treat, then onto Loch Ness.
Day 5
On the penultimate day of your journey, paddle through Loch Ness passing by Urquhart Castle, a historic fortification dating from the 13th to the 16th centuries, and enjoy lunch with a view of the castle before continuing to the Dochgarroch Locks where you can choose between a semi-wild campsite or upgrading to a B&B, and end the day with dinner at The Oakwood restaurant on the canal bank.
Day 6
On your final day, paddle into Inverness and complete a 95 Km journey, then have time for a pub lunch and town visit before departing. Departure options include a shuttle back to Fort William or an additional overnight stay in Inverness (prices vary). No accommodation is included, but breakfast is provided (drinks not included).
