Top 5 multi-day sup trips

If you’re craving more time on the water than an afternoon or even a full-day SUP session can give you, you need to look into multi-day SUP trips! Multi-dayers are an awesome way to immerse yourself in the SUP lifestyle, get back to nature and away from the cares of the real world. They’re also a fantastic way to visit new places, as they allow you to explore in a way you can’t by car, foot or on a half-day SUP trip.

Multi-day trips also allow you to challenge yourself in new ways, adding an element of endurance to your paddling, teaching you new skills and allowing you to blend your SUP experience with other activities like hiking, camping, sailing or climbing.

We are huge fans of multi-day SUP trips and are always looking for the next fantastic location to visit. So, we’ve compiled this list of five incredible multi-day paddleboarding holidays to help inspire you for your next SUP Adventure!

Caledonian Paddleboarding Tour – Scotland

This unforgettable 6-day, 95-km paddleboarding tour takes you from Fort William to Inverness along the Scottish canals. It has it all: wild camping, epic scenery, rare wildlife, remote hikes, local food, and world-famous locations.

You’ll start with the sight of Neptune’s Staircase lock system, then paddle the third deepest loch in Scotland before gliding across the glass-smooth waters of Loch Ness. You’ll be passing historic castles and ancient forests and paddling with views of Ben Nevis. Plus, you’ll stay at a range of memorable accommodations, from inns and B&Bs to wild campsites.

You’ll carry your supplies along the trip but don’t worry, a support vehicle is on hand in case backup is required.

Gulf Islands Camping Trip – Canada

This camping and paddling experience doesn’t just take you through incredible landscapes but helps take your paddling knowledge to the next level. You’ll learn about navigation, route planning, campsite selection, and how to backcountry camp without leaving a trace as you explore the Princess Margaret Marine Park.

On this 3-day trip, you’ll paddle for 3-4 hours per day with a loaded board under the leadership of your enthusiastic guide. Watch for seals as you explore the protected landscape of tide pools, islands, and reefs. Then head for your ocean-view island base camp, where you stand more chance of meeting owls than other people!

Women’s SUP and Hike – Croatia

If paddleboarding isn’t enough of a challenge for you, choose this all-action holiday that includes hiking, paddling, rock climbing, and cycling in the stunning Croatian landscape.

On this women’s only holiday, you’ll head for the wilderness of the Velebit mountains and Paklenica Nature Park, where you’ll hike and rock climb before staying in a remote mountain hut. Then your party will move to the Zadar Archipelago and the island of Molat, where you’ll paddleboard between 6-20 km each day with breaks to swim in the gin-clear waters, soak up the Mediterranean sunshine, explore the island by bike, and enjoy delicious local melas.

Sail and SUP around the Inner Hebrides – Scotland

Why not add a little sailing to your Scottish SUP experience? Start in Oban, the gateway to the Hebrides, where you’ll board your yacht and head out on this 4-day trip where your time is split between sailing and paddling, allowing you to enjoy the spectacular scenery in two ways.

Your skipper will expertly navigate through the Inner Hebrides, hunting out the best paddling sites for you depending on each day’s conditions. Once in the best spot, you’ll take to the water with a knowledgeable guide to get up close to this dramatic archipelago’s rugged shores and sea caves. Then you’ll return to your yacht to dry off and enjoy a delicious dinner in the saloon before getting a well-earned sleep on board.

Three Fjords Expedition – Norway

The fjords of Norway are one of the most spectacular places to paddle in the world, and this epic 8-day trip will show you several breathtaking highlights. First, you’ll glide across the serenely beautiful Lovatnet Glacier Lake and explore UNESCO-protected Geirangerfjord with its famous Seven sisters waterfall. Then you’ll spend 2 days paddling Aurlandsfjord and majestic Nærøyfjord, a beautiful arm of the deepest fjord in the world, surrounded by sheer mountains and towering snow-covered peaks.

This trip’s action-packed itinerary also includes other incredible activities such as indoor skydiving, mountain climbing, traversing Europe’s longest wire bridge, riding a mountain-top gondola, and enjoying meals and accommodation in unforgettable locations.

So what do you think?
